Lymphatic Drainage

The lymphatic system is part of your immune and circulatory system. The fluid in our lymphatic system helps remove metabolic waste toxins and excess water from our body tissues. By stimulating the lymph nodes and mobilising the lymph toward the heart, the excess fluid will travel back inside the blood stream; the kidneys then filter and the fluid is expelled through urination.
It is important to keep hydrated following the treatment.

Some health conditions cause retention of lymph fluid. Lymphatic drainage treatments help relieve and drain swollen affected areas of the body. To work efficiently the lymphatic systems relies on the movement of muscles to transport fluid through the lymph vessels. If you have recently had surgery or been incapacitated for a time your lymph nodes will benefit from passive mobilisation through lymphatic drainage treatments. This treatment is suitable for anyone wanting to improve their wellbeing.
Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a therapy that helps reduce swelling caused by fluid buildup after cancer treatment with or without lymph node removal.
Fibromyalgia suffers can experience less stiffness and pain, and improvements in their overall health as well as improving digestive problems and insomnia.
If you are pregnant, postpartum, post injury, feeling of bloating, constipated or sluggish digestion, experiencing hormonal changes including menopause, PMS, hashimoto’s disease, lymphoedema or simply want some self care to feel lighter, smoother or generally calmer.
